Schlupp: Scored his second goal of the season against the Hammers

Crystal Palace lost their second game in a week with a 3-2 defeat against West Ham at the London Stadium.

Roy Hodgson stuck with the same side that were defeated 3-1 by Brighton in midweek.

The Eagles took the lead in the sixth minute when James Tomkins' nod down from a free kick found it's way to James McArthur who prodded the ball home from six yards out, through the legs of the Hammers' keeper Lukasz Fabianski.

The Eagles held out til half time holding onto their 1-0 lead, but it was a different story in the second half.

Three minutes after the break Robert Snodgrass curled in an equaliser from 20 yards and then on 62 minutes the hosts were in front when Javier Hernández reacted quickest to Wayne Hennessey pushing away a free kick, and hit a first time shot into the roof of the net.

The afternoon got even worse for the Eagles three minutes later when Felipe Anderson picked the ball up on the left and curled a sublime effort into the top right corner of the net, to make it 3-1.

Jeffrey Schlupp's header on 76 minutes pulled one back for Palace, but they were unable to find a third to snatch a draw.

To make things even worse, Wilfried Zaha picked up a fifth booking of the season towards the end of the game, and will miss the Leicester at home game next weekend.

Palace: Hennessey, van Aanholt (Schlupp, 55), Wan-Bissaka, Sakho, Tomkins, Milivojevic, McArthur (Ayew, 66), Kouyate, Meyer (Puncheon, 84), Zaha, Townsend

West Ham: Fabianski, Balbuena, Masuaku, Zabaleta, Diop, Noble, Anderson (Obiang, 84), Rice, Snodgrass, Perez (Carroll, 45), Hernandez (Diangana, 75)
