Julian Speroni
Crystal Palace moved off the bottom of the table after a 0-0 draw at West Bromwich Albion.
The valuable point won against Alan Pardew's Baggies pushes Palace up two spots to 18th but they remain in the drop zone and three points off safety.
Although the Eagles again failed to score on the road – a Premier League record 10 away games – boss Roy Hodgson will be happy with a second successive clean sheet.
The manager was dealt a blow when keeper Wayne Hennessey injured himself in the warm-up, which resulted in Julian Speroni taking his place back in goal.
Hal Robson-Kanu scooped the first chance over the bar for the hosts, while Wilfried Zaha forced Ben Foster into a decent one-handed stop down the other end.
Foster was again alert to save Christian Benteke's effort from close range as the half ended all square.
After the break, Speroni showed his worth by standing up well to block a Jay Rodriguez effort for the Baggies.
The Eagles almost lost it late on as Salomon Rondon got between Joel Ward and Martin Kelly to nod a whisker past the post.
