Crystal Palace's woeful season continues with a 3-0 defeat at West Ham United.

Only goal difference keeps the Eagles out of the relegation zone with new manager Sam Allardyce still awaiting his first victory in charge.

West Ham carved out the first chance in this London derby as the dangerous Andy Carroll struck a vicious volley from Mark Noble's cross just over.

Yohan Cabaye responded with a well-taken shot that was held by Darren Randolph and the Eagles took control of the game with James Tomkins stabbing inches wide after West Ham failed to clear a free-kick.

But the game turned in the 68th minute as a Hammers through-ball caught the Palace defence flat footed, and as Wayne Hennessey recklessly came rushing out of his goal, Michail Antoni took the ball around him and set Sofiane Feghouli up to score he easiest of goals.

Eleven minutes later Carroll scored a contender for goal of the season with an incredible scissors kick from Antonio's cross that scorched the back of the net.

New signing from Leicester, Jeffrey Schlupp, was handed in Palace debut by Allardyce in the 81st minute.

Five minutes later, West Ham made it 3-0 by exposing Palace on the counter attack as Manuel Lanzini outpaced right-back Tomkins and expertly he chipped Hennessey to score.
