Alan Pardew
Crystal Palace lost 5-4 away in an incredible roller-coaster game at basement side Swansea City.
The Eagles threw away a 4-3 advantage late on to end up losing for a sixth successive time to mount further pressure on manager Alan Pardew.
They scored the first goal through Wilfried Zaha in the 19th minute when the in-form winger collected Christian Benteke's header, turned Neil Taylor and Federico Fernandez, and fired in a low shot.
Swansea were on terms nine minutes before half-time with a Gylfi Sigurdsson free-kick on the edge of the box after Jason Puncheon had blocked Jack Cork.
Two minutes later, Palace were inches away from finding a goal but Zaha's header from Yohan Cabaye's cross smacked against the bar.
The Eagles were dealt a setback when Connor Wickham – returning to the side in a front two with Benteke – suffered what looked like a knee ligament injury and had to be stretchered off in the 52nd minute.
Swansea took the lead for the first time through Leroy Fer on 66 minutes when he turned the ball into the back of the net after substitute Fernando Llorente's header was cleared off the line by Cabaye.
They stretched their advantage to 3-1 just two minutes later as Fer popped up again to net at the far post and again expose Palace's defensive frailties at set-pieces.
James Tomkins' bundled effort on 75 minutes to pull it back to 3-2 gave Palace hope of a comeback.
And a large slice of luck drew them level seven minutes later as Zaha's cross from the left took a wicked deflection off Cork and looped into the net for 3-3.
The Londoners then sensationally made it 4-3 on 84 minutes as Benteke scored in off the post after the Swans failed to clear their lines.
Swansea levelled the scores at 4-4 in the first minute of stoppage time through Llorente after Sigurdsson's shot was saved by Wayne Hennessey.
Two minutes later, Llorente notched a dramatic winner for the hosts by prodding home his second goal off the bench after even more comical defending.
