Crystal Palace did the Premier League double over Liverpool for the first time after a 3-1 away win.

The Eagles were the party poopers as they spoiled Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard's last game at Anfield before he leaves for LA Galaxy at the end of the season.

Liverpool took an undeserved lead in the 26th minute when Adam Lallana pounced on Martin Kelly's weak pass to Scott Dann and smashed the ball beyond Wayne Hennessey.

Palace levelled matters two minutes before the break with a brilliant Jason Puncheon free-kick from 20 yards after Emre Can fouled the lively Yannick Bolasie.

Wilfied Zaha was brought on by Alan Pardew on 59 minutes and he made an instant impact inside 22 seconds by tucking away Bolasie's cross with his first touch for 2-1.

Bolasie struck a shot against the bar before Palace made sure of the points with a third goal from the penalty spot in the last minute. Zaha was tripped on the edge of the area by Lucas and substitute Glenn Murray scored the spot-kick on the rebound after his effort was saved initially by Simon Mignolet.
