Crystal Palace sealed their passage into the fourth round of the FA Cup after a 4-0 win at non-league Dover Athletic.

Alan Pardew's Premier League side proved too strong for the Conference outfit as they picked up a confidence-boosting victory.

Pardew, in his first game in charge with the Eagles, made five changes from the side that drew with Aston Villa last time out.

Glenn Murray, back from his loan stint at Reading, started in attack alongside Dwight Gayle, while Wayne Hennessey, Stuart O'Keefe and Barry Bannan were also recalled.

Palace opened the scoring on 10 minutes through Scott Dann who volleyed in after Wilfried Zaha's cross was flicked on by Dover defender Tom Bonner.

Dann added another goal on 34 minutes with an unmarked header from Bannan's delivery to score twice in one game for the first time in his career.

Gayle's neat run and powerful strike at the near post made it 3-0 against a team 86 places below Palace in the football pyramid.

Substitute Kevin Doyle poked home a fifth goal three minutes before time from fellow sub Jerome Thomas's cross to wrap up a easy win for Pardew's men.
