Julian Speroni
Crystal Palace are still looking for their first win of the campaign after a frustrating goalless draw against Burnley.
Palace were thankful to keeper Julian Speroni who made a brilliant penalty save late on to deny Scott Arfield.
The hosts should have wrapped the game up by half-time but spurned a number of excellent opportunities. Damien Delaney fired over from Jason Puncheon's corner and Scott Dann headed a Fraizer Campbell cross onto the bar.
The Eagles then had appeals for a penalty turned down after a cross struck Burnley captain Jason Shackell in the area.
Wilfried Zaha almost netted on his return to Selhurst Park with a driving run on the left which ended with a neat shot that was parried by keeper Tom Heaton and cleared off the line by Shackle.
Dwight Gayle had time to pick his spot in goal but wastefully blasted high and wide.
Palace continued to waste chances after the break as Gayle failed to get on the end of Mile Jedinak's header across goal and Delaney nodded wide of the upright.
Lukas Jutkiewicz had a decent effort for the Clarets, but again Palace fluffed their lines in front of goal as Puncheon put a shot wide and new signing James McArthur shot over from 20 yards.
Speroni was called into action to palm Arfield's drive over the bar as Burnley raised the tempo.
After Palace skipper Jedinak dragged Lukas Jutkiewicz to the floor for a clear Burnley penalty, it looked like the visitors would be heading home with maximum points. But Speroni's heroics to keep out Arfield spared their blushes.
