Crystal Palace led twice but had to make do with a 2-2 draw at home to West Ham.

Darren Ambrose got the Eagles off to a flyer with his second goal in as many games after just six minutes. Julian Speroni booted the ball down field, it was flicked on by Glenn Murray and Jon Williams teed up Ambrose to sweep home.

Kevin Nolan levelled things up 10 minutes later after George McCartney's left-wing cross was not properly cleared by the home defence and Carlton Cole nodded back across goal for Nolan to head in.

Seven minutes after the break, Murray put Palace back in front from Wilfried Zaha's cross with a 15 yard finish for his third goal of the season.

But West Ham equalised with 10 minutes left on the clock to make it 2-2 after sub Jon Carew climbed highest to head McCartney's cross beyond Julian Speroni.
