Wilfried Zaha
Crystal Palace secured their spot in the Carling Cup fourth round after a 2-1 home win against Middlesbrough.
The Eagles exacted revenge after Saturday's defeat against Boro in the Championship after Wilfried Zaha scored one and set up Calvin Andrew for the other goal.
Welsh wizard Jon Williams provided the assist for the opener after 18 minutes, ghosting past past Kevin Thomson and feeding Zaha who raced clear to fire past keeper Danny Coyne.
Coyne then kept out Andrew's long range drive and the striker saw a header deflect wide of the goal, while Glenn Murray's volley hit the top of the crossbar.
Murray had two efforts saved by Coyne before Palace doubled their advantage through a rare Andrew goal on 52 minutes. Zaha sent over a deep cross and Andrew's header flew over Coyne and into the net despite defender Stephen McManus trying to hack clear.
Three minutes later, Merouane Zemmama pulled a goal back for the visitors before Eagles stopper Lewis Price pushed out Alex Nimely's effort wide late on to ensure Palace go through.
