Alan Lee scored a last minute winner against Yeovil Town to send Crystal Palace through to the Carling Cup second round.

It was Lee's second successive goal after he netted in Saturday's 3-2 triumph over Leicester City on Saturday.

Manager George Burley made three changes from the weekend, starting with Calvin Andrew up top, defender Adam Barrett made his Eagles debut and Nathaniel Pinney replaced Owen Garvin in midfield.

Pinney drew a fine save out of Glovers keeper Neil Sullivan with an 18-yard shot, while Darren Ambrose went close.

Luke Freeman, on loan from Arsenal, hit the bar and Dean Bowditch had two good opportunities.

But Lee broke Yeovil's hearts with a stoppage time winner by bundling home after substitute Kieron Djilali's cross-shot from the left was parried by Sullivan.

Yeovil: Sullivan, Alcock, Huntington, Virgo, Jones, Andrew Williams, Ayling, Kalala, Freeman (Smith 73), Sam Williams, Bowditch.

Not Used: Roberts, Stam, Hutchins, Upson, Calver, Matthews.

Palace: Speroni, Bennett, Barrett, McCarthy, Clyne, Cadogan, Ambrose, Dorman, Andrew (Djilali 58), Lee, Pinney (Zaha 46).

Not Used: Price, Davis, Holness, Holland, N'Diaye.
