Darren Ambrose
Darren Ambrose was on target again for Crystal Palace as his goal earned a 1-1 draw at Preston.
The midfielder scored made it two goals in two matches to cancel out Ross Wallace's opening strike for the hosts.
Palace had the first chance of the match as striker Alan Lee saw his shot palmed over the crossbar by North End keeper Andy Lonergan.
Preston then began dominating proceedings and in the 17th minute Jose Fonte had to clear Chris Brown's header from a Wallace corner off the line after the ball looped over Julian Speroni.
From the resulting corner, Speroni was on his guard to save Neil Collins' header.
Preston were rewarded a goal their dominance deserved in the 35th minute after Fonte tripped Brown on the edge of the box and Wallace curled home the free-kick.
Two minutes later, Ambrose levelled matters with a superb strike from the edge of the area for his eighth goal of the season.
In the second half, Palace looked stronger as Lee nodded Danny Butterfield's cross wide of the goal and Lonergan was able to scramble back to his line to save Ambrose's shot from 35 yards.
Preston thought they had a penalty when Shaun Derry handled in the box but the linesman had already flagged for an offside.
Ambrose had another attempt on goal but Richard Chaplow wasted a great chance to win the game for Preston seven minutes from the end but he put his shot wide with just Speroni to beat.
