Gregg Berhalter
Gregg Berhalter was an unused substitute in the USA's 1-1 draw with World Cup co-hosts South Korea.
He was tipped to make his first World Cup appearance, replacing the slower Jeff Agoos as a central back.
But boss Bruce Arena stuck by Agoos as the USA took the lead in the 24th minute against the run of play through Clint Mathis.
Five minutes before half-time, Brad Friedel saved a penalty from Lee Eul-Yong after Agoos brought down Hwang Sun-Hong. Then, in the 47th minute Friedel made a dramatic one-handed save from Seol Ki-Hyeon.
South Jorea got a well-deserved equaliser when Ahn Jung-Hwan headed home in the 78th minute.
Both teams now have four points in Group D, with the USA to play Poland on June 14, kick-off 12.30pm BST.
