Clinton Morrison
Palace's leading goal scorer Clinton Morrison is pleased with the arrival of new signing Ade Akinbiyi.
Morrison who has struck up a great partnership with Dougie Freedman is excited about Palace promotion prospects now that Akinbiyi has joined the club.
Morrison said: "I know him personally as a good friend and I've known for weeks that he was coming. I think he's a great player and I'm pleased he's here - he will be a great buy for the club.
"I will have to take him clubbing to celebrate. We have a great chance of promotion this year and he scores quite a few goals, so I hope it goes well for him."
Morrison is not concerned that the arrival of Ade will force him out the club, and he is quick to dismiss media speculation that he wants out of Palace.
He said: "Him coming doesn't mean I will be leaving. I keep reading that I'm too big for my boots and that I've said I'm too big for the club - I've never said that.
"We've needed competition up front all season and it's a good thing that he's here. I don't know what's in the manager's plans but I know the three of us can definitely play together.
"So long as we all score goals, everyone is happy."
Morrison is also looking forward to the Republic of Ireland friendly against Russia on the 13th February. He is hoping to add to his debut goal for his country, by scoring next week.
He said: "I'm pleased to be in there and I'm looking to impress. A goal would put me in the frame for the World Cup and I'm confident I can get one."

Is that the most humiliating defeat in the club's history?
