Ruben Loftus-Cheek has hinted at the possibility of rejoining Crystal Palace on loan.

Palace reportedly wanted to take him back over the summer but were put off by Chelsea's exorbitant loan fee – but they could go in for the 22-year-old again in January.

Despite a couple of injuries, the Chelsea midfielder was a shining light with the Eagles last season and his form led to a place at the World Cup with England.

The Lewisham-born player has only mustered 33 minutes for the Blues this term and hopes to get a more action in the Europa League next week.

When he was asked if there was a chance of going to Roy Hodgson's side, Loftus-Cheek said: "Possibly but it is still far away. There are still a lot of games to play and I just have to see what happens.

"Right now I am at Chelsea and my focus is at Chelsea and learning at Chelsea. That is in the future and we will deal with that when it comes."

He added: "There are a lot of games coming up, so I think there will be more opportunities coming for players that are not playing every week. But I’m not sure when I am going to play. It is just down to me working hard in training."
