Christian Benteke
Christian Benteke says Crystal Palace fans can expect to see Total Football under new manager Frank de Boer.
Dutch legend De Boer will be looking to put his stamp on the Eagles after replacing Sam Allardyce who retired after dramatically staving off relegation.
Benteke, who was Palace's top scorer last season with 17 goals, says De Boer wants to get Palace playing the Ajax-style his mentor Johann Cruyff was famous for.
He said: "Sam Allardyce was more about going directly to the opponents' side. With Frank, it's more the same but he wants to be dominant on the ball and even without the ball. So he wants to play more and keep the ball and go forward.
"Yeah of course, of course [there will be a Total Football, Dutch mentality introduced] because it's in their DNA. They will always believe in it."
Record-signing Benteke, 26, is reportedly being chased by Everton as a possible replacement for their departed striker Romelu Lukaku.
