Frank de Boer
Dutch superstar Frank de Boer is Crystal Palace's new manager. Here's a snapshot of his esteemed career in photos.
Frank de Boer began his career with Ajax in 1988 after progressing through their famed Academy.
The centre half went on to win five Eredivisie titles, two KNVB Cups, a UEFA Cup, a UEFA Super Cup and a UEFA Champions League with them.
De Boer made his international debut for the Netherlands in 1990 and currently holds the record for the most appearances for an outfield player, with 112 caps.
After 11 seasons in Amsterdam, he switched to Barcelona in 1999, where he won the La Liga title months later.
He captained the Netherlands to the semi-finals of both the 1998 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2000.
The Hoorn-born defender had brief stints at Galatasaray, Rangers, Al-Rayyan and Al-Shamal before hanging up his boots in 2006.
A year later, he went into management with the Ajax youth team and as assistant to Bert van Marwijk with the Netherlands national side.
In December 2010, he became manager of Ajax and went on to win four consecutive Eredivisie titles. He resigned in May 2016 after Ajax lost the title to PSV on the final day of the season.
He joined Inter as manager in August 2016, but was sacked just three months later after a disappointing run of results.
De Boer was unveiled as the new boss of Crystal Palace in June 2017.
