Jason Puncheon
Crystal Palace midfielder Jason Puncheon says he's up for fight against relegation.
The Eagles lie just one point and one place above the drop zone after back-to-back Premier League victories.
Puncheon admits the team "haven't been good enough" and is determined to grind out enough points for survival in the final 11 fixtures.
"I think the turnaround is on, but we are not going to get carried away," he said. "We have had two wins and six points, which is great, but we need to keep going and we still have 11 cup finals to play.
"We have all had some criticism and collectively, we look at ourselves and say we haven't been good enough, which is why we are in the position we are. We are here for a reason and we are in this fight."
Puncheon has been handed the captain's armband with Scott Dann out of the side and the local lad is relishing the honour.
"I am enjoying it. It is a great pleasure for me and I take great pride in it with how much this football club means to me," he said.
"But the most important thing is about us winning games and being resilient and it is about the team for me. If I can be part of the team and help to lead and drive it forward, then great."
