Stephen Kabba
Palace beat Leyton Orient reserves this afternoon at Brisbane Road, 3-0, with goals from Robert Kember, Stephen Kabba and Gareth Williams.
Kember scored the first goal for Crystal Palace on 11 minutes, after a Tommy Black corner was not cleared by the Orient defence. Kember on the edge of the box struck a rifling first-time shot into the corner of the net.
Stephen Kabba had a great game up front and scored with a nice chip early in the second half.
After 81 minutes the game was safe for Palace with a Gareth Williams sidefooted shot.
Orient manager Paul Brush was complementary of the Eagles' performance, he said: "It was a fair result. We were up against a very accomplished side and their passing and movement was superior to ours."
"If it wasn't for an outstanding display by David Wietecha the scoreline would have been much wider."
Palace Team: Carasso, Howell, Harrison, Gooding, Woozley (Harris '60), Kember (c), Martini, Thomson (R.Williams '60), Martin, Kabba, Black (G.Williams '67)
Subs: R Williams for Thomson (58), Harris for Woozley (58), G Williams for Black (65). Not used: Warren. Goals: Harrison (11), Kabba (53), G Williams (81).
