Meet your Crystals cheerleader of the week – Malika!

Name: Malika.

Nickname: Mal.

Age: 21.

Occupation: Student.

Hometown: Forest Gate.

Years on the team: Second season.

What have you enjoyed most about being a Crystal so far? Just all the dancing, I love all the routines. Stacey is a very good choreographer and makes it all fun and doing it with your friends makes it even better.

What's the funniest thing that happened last season? We're all quite close and crack jokes all the time. But there's nothing that's been 'out there' funny. One of the games last season we got wet by the sprinkler and made it on to the Mirror but there's been no more of those.

What is something that you can't help but spend money on? Food, travel and make-up.

What do you keep in the boot of your car? I've only just passed my test so am saving up for a car.

Something you can't live without? My phone. I'm always talking and just need to have something in my hand.

What do you do for fun outside of cheerleading? My idea of fun is watching a movie and ordering a Chinese.

What three items would you take with you on a deserted island? My phone, endless supply of food and WiFi.

If the zombie apocalypse happened tomorrow, which three Crystals would you want fight next to you and why? I think I would lead our team to success. I've planned it out and everyone knows I'm quite tough. I feel I would lead everybody to survival. I would take Sophia because she is tall and has muscle. Claire because she is just tough in general and Kimi because she is a mum and has the maternal insticts and skills.

What is the last thing you do before you go to bed? I watch TV, I rarely read a book, but am mostly on my phone.

What actress would play you in your life story? I quite like Zoe Saldana. She's a really good actress.
