Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann has warned his teammates to be fearful of their places next season.
Dann picked up Palace's Player of the Year award after a superb season, as the Eagles finished in a Premier League best of 10th.
With manager Alan Pardew looking to bolster the squad over the summer, Dann is aware he and the other players will have to perform consistently well to keep their places.
He said: "The gaffer will be looking and deciding on where to improve. We've seen a couple of players have come in at different positions and have played well; they have shown quality.
"Then all of us are going to have a fight on our hands to get in the team.
"On a personal level, I have improved since I've come to Palace.
"I still want to improve and hopefully we can do that as a team as well and keep pushing forward."
The Liverpudlian added: "It's been a really good season, better than last, we are further up the league, we got a top-ten finish and to finish it off at home with three points and a clean sheet was brilliant.
"We have finished tenth and improved on last season and if we can improve the squad in the summer and keep playing the way we have been, we have got to look up and break into the top eight.
"It will take some hard work. The performances we have put in since the manager came in have been great so there is no reason why we can't.
