Yannick Bolasie says he's happy to remain at Crystal Palace and advance his game.
The winger is setting the Premier League alight with his exciting wing play and Palace are likely to have to fight off bids for him in the January transfer window.
But the Congo international, who produced a sublime piece of skill against Tottenham at the weekend, is aware that leaving the Eagles too early could backfire as has happened with other stars.
"That’s one thing I don’t want to do," he told the Advertiser. "I want to make sure I have another good season and keep Palace up then who knows."
Having scored just once this season, Bolasie also knows he must add more goals to his game if he is to become an elite player.
He said: "I am happy at Palace. For me, it’s all about progressing. I feel like I’m improving every week at Palace and that’s the main thing.
"I don’t like getting used to anything. For me, it’s all about working hard and keep progressing, and that’s the way I’m going to try and move on.
"As a winger I’m never going to be satisfied. I want to prove I can also score goals and make them. That’s my aim."
Teammate Scott Dann added: "If he can start doing that [scoring goals], we have got a great player on our hands.
"When he is in that type of form [against Spurs] he is unstoppable. I do not care who he plays against, there is no-one who can stop him in that kind of form."
