Crystal Palace start their pre-season schedule of matches in the USA with a 2-2 draw against MLS outfit Columbus Crew.
Pulis opted for a front pair of Glenn Murray and Dwight Gayle to start, and Julian Speroni got his first minutes of football this pre-season.
The Crew went ahead in the 15th minute through a header from Adam Beddell.
Murray's glancing header from a Yannick Bolasie cross made it 1-1 before half time.
Every substitute for Palace got game time in the second half, and it was one of them who put Palace 2-1 up on 70 minutes.
19-year-old Jake Gray bundled in from 6 yards after Marouane Chamakh's header hit the post from a cross by Jonny Williams.
A header 10 minutes later by Daniel Paladini from a Agustin Viana cross put the home side back on level terms, and that was how the match ended in Ohio.
The Eagles travel to Pennsylvania tomorrow, where they will take on another MLS side, Philadelphia Union on Saturday morning at midnight BST time.
Palace starting XI: Speroni, Ward, Dann, Delaney, Jerome Williams, Puncheon, Jedinak, Ledley, Bolasie, Murray, Gayle
Subs: Hennessey, Mariappa, Ramage, Boateng, Gray, O'Keefe, Bannan, Jonny Williams, Guedioura, Chamakh
