Adrian Mariappa
Crystal Palace defender Adrian Mariappa says every game until the end of the season should be treated like a cup final.
Palace are on the cusp of Premier League survival after back-to-back wins, which included a 3-0 success away to lowly rivals Cardiff on Saturday, moved them to seven points off the drop.
However, the right-back knows the Eagles cannot get cocky about their place in the table and wants the team to pick up as many points as they can to make sure they are safe.
"Another clean sheet, it’s good to get them back-to-back and also wins," he told the Advertiser.
"We worked so hard defensively so to get rewarded with a clean sheet is something very, very good for us. Every game coming up to the end of the season now is a cup final for us.
"We took a lot of confidence from last week but we knew Cardiff was also going to be a very, very tough game.
"Playing away from home as well, it was vitally important we came away with something from the game and get some points.
"You’re happy to get to get the win but it’s on to the next one. We’re trying to get as many points as we can to make sure we’re in this league for next season.
"When you win you don’t get too high and when you lose you don’t get too low."
