Crystal Palace winger Jason Banton has joined MK Dons on loan until January.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a successful spell while on loan at Plymouth in League Two last term, netting six goals in 14 games, as they just avoided the drop.

That scintillating form led to him winning the division's player of the month award and being recalled to Selhurst Park early but he wasn't used in Crystal Palace's run-in.

With the Eagles now in the Premier League, Palace feel the former Blackburn and Liverpool player will benefit with regular match time at League One side Milton Keynes.

MK boss Karl Robinson said: "Jason is someone I have known for a while from my time at Liverpool and Blackburn. He is a very gifted footballer who is yet to reach his full potential.

"But he showed glimpses of what he can do while he was on loan with Plymouth last season."
