Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace have agreed a fee with Peterborough to buy winger George Boyd.
Boyd, 27, is a boyhood Palace fan and will discuss personal terms with the Eagles after Posh agreed to sell him for an undisclosed amount.
He is reportedly Peterborough's highest earner on £10,000 a week and turned down a move to Ipswich earlier in the campaign after failing to agree wages.
Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony said: "We have agreed terms with Crystal Palace for the transfer of George Boyd tonight. The player will now talk terms with Palace.
"It’s obviously sad news for us at Posh, but we couldn’t turn this opportunity down for the player. Many clubs have made bids which in truth were verging on taking the mick, however Palace have backed their manager and met our terms today.
"George has been a Palace fan all his life and now he has the chance, if he joins them, to help them get promoted to the Premier League."
