Steve Bruce could be set to make a £1m offer for Wolves defender Ludovic Pollet, according to newspaper reports.

The centre half has been on the substitutes' bench for most of the season playing only once, in Wolves' defeat to Swindon in the Worthington Cup last month.

Wolves have had a good start to the season and the French man is said to be unhappy at playing reserve team football.

He has been one of their most consistent performers over the past few seasons and most most fans will be upset if he decides to leave.

Pollet, 31, signed from from Lens at the end of 1999, after an initial loan spell. He has gone on to make 72 appearnces to date, scoring seven goals and has previously played for Le Havre and Cannes.
