Dean Moxey says Crystal Palace's disappointment at drawing with ex-Premier League side West Ham shows how far they have progressed this year.

Palace were twice pegged back by the Hammers, who still have a number of star names on their team sheet since getting relegated from the top flight, to draw 2-2 last time out.

And left-back Moxey, 25, felt the South Londoners deserved all three points after accusing West Ham of playing long ball football.

"It was a shame, I think we deserved over the 90 minutes to get the win," he told the official website. "I think we played some good football. Obviously they've got some big men and they lumped it long for most of the game really.

"We dealt with a lot of their balls, we didn't think they were troubling us that much in the second half, maybe they pushed on a bit but they were putting balls in the box that we were dealing with.

"It's a shame to get a point but I suppose that's the mark of how far Crystal Palace have come in the last six to seven months that we're disappointed to get a point against West Ham.

"If you'd asked me before the game, a draw against West Ham wouldn't have been a bad result. But on reflection of the 90 minutes, I think we deserved the three points. They're a Premier League team and no one would have thought that they would get relegated last year."
