Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace target Eddie Howe will remain at AFC Bournemouth after the Cherries persuaded him to stay.
Howe had been the favourite to land the vacant manager's job at Palace after co-chairman Steve Parish identified him as his no.1 target.
He held talks with Parish and the CPFC2010 board at the end of last week but later had discussions with managerless Charlton on Sunday.
Palace reportedly launched an improved bid for the highly-rated 33-year-old boss after Charlton were confident of signing him but he has now opted to stay with the Cherries.
A statement on the official AFC Bournemouth website read: "Cherries manager Eddie Howe and assistant manager Jason Tindall are staying at Dean Court!"
Eagles caretaker boss Dougie Freedman will take charge of the match against Swansea this Saturday while the search for a new manager goes on.
