Manager George Burley insists he is not worried about his job despite Crystal Palace's awful start to the season.

Palace are still stranded at the foot of the Championship after Tuesday night's 3-2 win at home to Watford but Burley is not feeling the pressure.

"I'm not worried at all, all I can do is do my best," he said. "I haven't got a magic wand but all I can do is work hard. It's not going to happen overnight but if you're not winning people will speculate.

"It's not a nice feeling not winning games, and we haven't been. We looked edgy and nervy but we scored three top-quality goals. It was nice to have an end product.

"There have been so many times this season where we have played well and lost. It's like any sport, you lose confidence if you are not winning, so tonight will help."

Watford boss Malky Mackay said: "We weren't clinical enough. With the chances we had, to lose the game was desperately disappointing.

"Our response to going one down was tremendous, Palace were camped in their own half, we scored two goals and battled well.

"If a guy strikes the ball into the top corner from 25 yards there is not much you can do, but we should have been out of sight by then. But credit to Palace, they put their bodies on the line."
