Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have been drawn to play Leyton Orient away in the first round of the Worthington Cup.

The one-legged matches will take place on the week commencing August 20, 2001.

Palace were beaten by eventual winners Liverpool in the semi-final of last season's cup, 6-2 on aggregate.

But the Eagles were the only team to beat Liverpool in any cup competition last season, winning the first leg of the semi, 2-1 at Selhurst Park.

For the first time, first round games will be played as a one-off tie instead of the two-legged affairs of previous seasons of the Worthington Cup.
