Jordan - Employing Bruce?
Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has called a press conference. The press conference is expected to be held at lunchtime today (Thursday). Steve Bruce is set to be unveiled as the new Palace manager.
Immediately after Steve Bruce quit his job as Wigan boss, speculation started saying he was set to take over the hot-seat at Selhurst Park.
Simon Jordan is said to have no doubt that the former Manchester United defender has all the attributes to steer Palace to the Premiership, after having consulted Newcastle manager Bobby Robson.
Caretaker boss Steve Kember and reserve-team coach Terry Bullivant are expected to stay on at the club as backroom staff.
Eagles striker Clinton Morrison believes Bruce is the right man to help Palace get back into the Premiership.
He said: "I think he would be good for the club because we need a big name appointment who commands a lot of respect.
"Having said that, I hope Steve Kember is not forgotten and stays with the club because he did a brilliant job at the end of the season."
