Nathaniel Clyne
Crystal Palace defender Nathaniel Clyne has turned down a possible transfer to Wolves.
Administrators P&A Partnership had agreed a fee with the Premier League club for the 18-year-old right-back, but he has delighted Palace fans by deciding not to enter talks.
"Nathaniel Clyne was given permission to speak to Wolves after they agreed a fee for his services, but he has refused to open talks with him," joint administrator Brendan Guilfoyle told skysports.com.
The news also comes as a major boost for manager Neil Warnock who lost Victor Moses for £2.5m to Wigan this morning and is bracing himself for further bids before the transfer deadline ends at 5pm.
"I'm delighted the players have stuck with us," said Warnock. "The administrators accepted an offer from Wolves for Clyne but he declined it.
"He didn't think it was the right club for him and I think he was right. It shows he has a bit of faith in us.
"When you look at John Bostock and Kyle Naughton going to Tottenham they haven't played any games."
Like Moses, Clyne is a graduate of Palace's academy and is one of the hottest prospects in the Championship.
