Chelsea have rejected a £2m offer from the Eagles for Mikael Forssell saying he is not for sale at any price.
The striker had only recently signed a new contract with the Stamford Bridge club. Chelsea revealed that they had rejected a £5m bid from abroad for Forssell and had turned down offers from two Premiership clubs as well as Palace.
Chelsea's managing director Colin Hutchinson said Forssell has a big future at Stamford Bridge and that no offers for him will be accepted.
Simon Jordan however, is still hoping to get the Finnish international on loan for another season now that his bid has been rejected.
Meanwhile, Jordan travelled to Spain this week to finalise his pre-season plans. He will be checking out a number of potential training bases over the next few days.
The chairman is hoping that the players will bond together if he takes them away with the new manager for a week to ten days.
