Kieron Cadogan
Kieron Cadogan was on target as Crystal Palace reserves beat Gillingham 1-0.
Coach Ronnie Jepson brought the Eagles' second string to the KT Stadium having yet to be defeated so far this campaign.
In a scrappy first half, Nathaniel Pinney had two efforts on goal, while James Comley fired a long range effort that hit the top of the crossbar.
Darryl Flahavan saved from Luke Rooney, then Andy Pugh blasted a gilt-edged chance over for the Gills.
Pinney got the ball in the net after an excellent run and cross from Kieran Djilali but it was disallowed for offside.
But Palace got their noses in front six minutes before half-time when Ryan Smith launched a deep cross to the far post to Djilali who headed back for Cadogan to score from six yards.
Cadogan hit the upright in the second half after good work from Comley, Pinney and Smith.
Smith wasted a good chance before Gills keeper Alan Julian expertly saved Jerry Nnamani's header from a Djilali cross.
Palace: Flahavan, Abnett, Parsons, Holland, Nnamani, Comley, Djilali, Adelakun, Pinney, Cadogan, Smith.
Not used: Mann, Goldsmith, McDonald-Roberts, Holness.
