Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has clinched the signing of ex-Swansea striker Matthew Wright
The 18-year-old targetman impressed Warnock enough while on trial at the end of last season that the Eagles manager decided to sign him on a one-year deal.
Wright, who stands at 6ft 4in, scored the equaliser in Palace reserves' final match of the season at QPR which saw both clubs field young triallists.
"We've given Matthew a one-year contract," said Warnock. "He's only a young lad and I see him being one for the juniors and reserves."
Wright came up through the Swansea youth set-up and played regularly for the reserves but the Swans decided not to give him a professional contract.
He is Palace's third summer signing after the arrival of Darren Ambrose from Charlton and Freddie Sears on a season loan from West Ham.
