Crystal Palace right-back Nathaniel Clyne has penned a three year contract.
The 18-year-old is hotly tipped to pick up this season's Young Player of the Year award after a string of impressive displays.
Clyne's new deal should ward off interest from top flight clubs including Wigan Athletic who have been keeping tabs on his progress.
He made his debut in October's 3-0 victory against Barnsley and chalked up 29 first team appearances.
Eagles manager Neil Warnock said: "Clyne deserves his new contract. He is by no means one of the club's top earners but it puts him up to where it should be after his performances this season."
Clyne's emergence as a first team regular means Danny Butterfield is almost certain to exit Selhurst Park in the summer.
