Neil Warnock
Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock reckons his side is better than last season after the Eagles won 4-2 against Bristol City.
John Oster, Sean Scannell, Craig Beattie and Jose Fonte were all on target in the 4-2 victory at home to the Robins.
"We played well at Coventry and then got beat at Cardiff but we are more than capable of putting a run together," said Warnock
"If anything, we are probably a better side than last year. The only thing lacking is a Clinton [Morrison] scoring 15 goals.
"Other than that, we fell we are going in the right direction when we put the kids in, like we did today."
Warnock was impressed with the display of 17-year-old Nathaniel Clyne who looked assured at right-back.
"I asked him how he was before the game and he was as cool as a cucumber and he played like it," added Warnock.
"There are still a few more kids who have not played yet. It would be nice by the end of the season to put them all in the team."
City manager Gary Johnson added: "I was surprised we conceded four goals. We have had some good away performances but that was not one today.
"When you're second best in all departments there is a fair chance you are going to get beat.
"It did not help when you go two goals down though bad play because then you have a mountain to climb and it's very difficult.
"I was disappointed with their first goal because it definitely went out of play. But they still scored three others.
"If that was the only goal we lost by, then I would have been really disappointed but it was our team which lost us the game, not that decision."
