The Football League
Tipster Danny Hayes previews the match between Birmingham City and Crystal Palace.
This is probably the fixture Simon Jordon looks forward to most in the calendar.
Our charismatic chairman, it is fair to say hasn’t always seen eye-to-eye with his Birmingham counterparts David Sullivan and David Gold. The phrase, “how could I take someone who sells dildo’s for a living seriously,” springs to mind, so Jordon will be eager to put one over the Midlanders come Tuesday evening.
While the league table and the prices may suggest the Brum are a good thing, the truth is that they are far from it.
They have flattered to deceive in recent weeks and were lucky to leave Burnley with a point at the weekend. Meanwhile a resurgent Palace have crept up the table with a four-game unbeaten run and are actually playing some really good football.
For that reason I’m willing to take a punt on the Eagles leaving St. Andrews with the three points as prices of 4/1 are far too big for Warnock’s inform outfit.
Back Palace to win @ 4/1 with Ladbrokes, Coral, William Hill, Skybet & Betfred
Betting looks a little tougher elsewhere in the Championship. The only two sides I would want to put in a double would be Derby to continue their fine upturn in form away at Blackpool and Swansea to be too good for QPR at home. The double pays around 5/1.
Back Derby / Swansea double @ 5/1 with all leading bookmakers.
