Action

Crystal Palace crashed out of the Carling Cup to Leeds with a dismal 4-0 loss and here's how the players rated.

Flahaven 5

Can't really fault him for the goals as it was mainly down to poor communication. Made some super saves at time especially in the first half. Does not command his area as a keeper should.

Ertl 4

Needs to learn to communicate better with the players around him. Made some good tackles at times but got caught out of position alot. Easily bullied!

Lawrence 3

Couple of good tackles. Totally at fault for the first goal, took the ball away from McCarthy who had it covered. Did not pick the team up as a skipper should. Worst performance in a Palace shirt.

McCarthy 4

Fairly solid at times, needs to communicate ALOT more with centre back partner and keeper. Let his head drop too easily and was bullied by Beckford.

Hill 3

Rare poor performance from a usually solid player. Should have filled Derry's boots as skipper when Lawrence was no where to be seen. Didn't get back well enough.

Carle 6

Very creative but was running in circles with the ball as he had no support from a front man. Best player for us but was not hard to be.

Moses 5

Ran his socks off but tried to do too much at times. I think too much pressure has been put on his shoulders at such a young age.

Andrew 5

Won a few headers but can't play as a lone stiker. Was marked out of the game.

Soares 2

I'm normally not very critical of him but was awful tonight, can't work out why he was on the pitch for so long. The team carried him for his full performance. AWFUL!!

Watson 6

Fans sang "Only one Ben Watson" which I don't agree with as he doesn't wanna play for us. Put in a tidy performance second half and was the only person not scared to shoot. Was he playing to get back in the team or playing in the shop window? Only time will tell. Made some superb tough tackles. Perhaps lucky not to get booked.

Djilali 6

Ran his socks off and was full of tricks. The future looks good for him. Shame the rest are not as hungry to play for the club!

Subs - difficult to make an impact with such little time.
