Clinton Morrison
Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison has set himself a target of 18 goals for the season.
Morrison has found the net 14 times this term in a campaign that has seen him reach 100 Palace goals, but he's scored just once in the last 14 games.
The 28-year-old, who this week has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad, admits he's frustrated with the barren run but is confident the goals will return.
"I know I haven’t scored for a bit and it’s always at the back of your mind," Morrison told the South London Press. "But I know the goals will come in the important games.
"I’ve had a great season and now I’m in a little scoring dip. But people have got to realise I’ve been played wide a lot, which means a lot of tracking back, so it was great to be in my favoured role at Stoke.
"I would love to hit 18 goals this season and I’ve still got four games to try and do that. That would be pretty good.
"But we could get in the play-offs and I might be saving my most important goal for the final. You know what I am like - a little sniffer in the box!"
