Dougie Freedman
Dougie Freedman insists the only way Crystal Palace can make the play-offs is to stop thinking about them.
The striker has watched from the sidelines Palace's dismal run of six games without a victory as they've slipped down the table.
And Freedman believes focusing on just one match at a time is key to starting another unbeaten run and a chance to get back into promotion contention.
He said: "What we have to do now is take it from game to game - that is how we got to where we are now. It isn't about promotion or the play-offs, it's about each game.
"We just have to concentrate on the next game and if we continue to do that throughout the season and that gets us into the play-offs then great.
"Maybe we are looking a little bit too far ahead. A couple of defeats can breed a little bit of a lack in confidence into a team. But on the flip side, we've shown we can go 15 games without losing, so we know we can go on a run.
"What we do know is that we've got to go back to basics, work hard for each other, not get carried away and do what we were doing previously."
