Carl Fletcher
Carl Fletcher insists he won't quit Crystal Palace despite falling out of the team.
The club captain has hardly featured under manager Neil Warnock and saw fellow midfielder Neill Danns arrive from Birmingham to add even more competition for places.
Although Warnock said this week he may let Fletcher go out on loan, the former West Ham star says he is happy to bide his time with the Eagles.
"Players coming to the club breeds competition which is good for the team," he said. "Everyone is pushing for places and that keeps everyone on their toes.
"I'm not going to knock on the manager's door and demand a move. If Neil wants me to stay then I will.
"I think there are too many players who start moaning to the manager as soon as they are left out of the team and want moves left, right and centre. You just have to suck it up and get on with it."
Fletcher has had to make do with sub appearances during Palace's magnificent revival that has seen them move into the play-off places and has vowed to keep working hard in training.
He said: "The way things are going at the minute I'm not in the team, but I can't grumble and I can't argue because the guys who are playing are doing so well. I've just got to keep going, work hard and if my chance comes I have to take it.
"I just want to take it from day-to-day, train hard and play hard - I'm a strong believer that you get out of life what you put into it."
