Ben Watson
Crystal Palace held Belgian outfit Anderlecht to a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park.
Midfield ace Ben Watson helped Palace continue their unbeaten pre-season campiagn with an equaliser from the penalty spot.
The visitors got their noses in front after 26 minutes when Walter Baseggio fired a low drive past Scott Flinders.
But Palace were on level terms five minutes into the second half. Dave Martin, who came on at the break, saw his cross handled by an Anderlecht defender and Watson buried the penalty kick.
New defender Jose Fonte made his debut after completing his loan move from Benfica, while Palace prodigy Victor Moses wowed fans with an appearance full of tricks and skills.
Palace: Flinders (Speroni 45) Craig (Hughes 45) Hudson, Cort (Fonte 63) Freedman (Martin 45) Morrison (Green 45) Watson, Kennedy (Moses 63) Soares, Butterfield (Lawrence 45) Kuqi (Scowcroft 45).
