Ben Watson
Ben Watson believes Crystal Palace have what it takes to win automatic promotion to the Premier League.
The midfielder has played his part in Palace's unbeaten pre-season campaign by scoring two goals.
And the former U21 international reckons Peter Taylor's side are well equipped for a shot at the top flight.
He told icons.com: "The Premiership is where I want to play and hopefully I'll get there will Palace; we are aiming for automatic promotion from the word go.
"A lot of teams have spent a lot of money and we haven’t spent much at all over the summer. We've lost about eight players, but we've kept the core of the squad from last year. The manager believes in us and that’s the important thing.
"We're in a much stronger position than we were this time last season, when there were so many changes made to the squad and the backroom staff. Everyone's gelled now and that goes a long way to improving your fortunes."
