Everton goalkeeper Iain Turner will not be allowed to make a permanent move to Crystal Palace.
Turner is currently on a month’s loan at Palace and boss Peter Taylor would love to keep the Scotland Under-21 star, who has kept two clean sheets in his three matches since replacing Gabor Kiraly.
But Everton manager David Moyes has his own plans for Turner and Taylor admitted: “Iain hasn’t had much first-team football at Everton but they think the world of him there.
“Their goalkeeping coach has regular contact with us about Iain. He has got Tim Howard ahead of him at Everton but I don’t think there is any a chance at all of signing him.
“He gives the impression that if he is called upon he can handle it. He’s given the back four a bit of confidence as well.”
