Gabor's woe

Gabor Kiraly

Gabor Kiraly had a depressing Wednesday night in goal for Hungary.

The keeper won his 70th cap but saw his country suffer a shock 2-1 defeat to minnows Malta in Ta'Qali.

It was only Malta's third win of all-time and their first victory since 1982. Former Palace forward Sandor Torghelle netted Hungary's goal.

Shefki Kuqi came off the bench to represent Finland in their 2-0 triumph over Kazakhstan.

Clinton Morrison was an unused sub in the Republic of Ireland's 1-1 at home to the Czech Republic.

Carl Fletcher missed Wales' 3-1 win over Cyprus in Cardiff with an ankle injury.
