Simon Jordan and Iain Dowie
Simon Jordan has re-ignited his bitter war of words with Iain Dowie ahead of their High Court showdown.
The Palace supremo is suing Dowie for fraudulent misrepresentation after he quit Selhurst Park, claiming to be nearer his family in Bolton.
Jordan said he only released Dowie from his contract on that understanding and was angered when he became Charlton's manager eight days later.
The pair will meet in court and Jordan won't back down, accusing Dowie of lying and betraying him.
"I don't wish him any harm, but I think people like him will get what they deserve - they will find out what the real world is all about," Jordan told the Times.
"They read their own press, they think they are the rocket man because they've got a degree in rocket science. Nonsense. Some of the stupidest people I have met in my life are people who have got degrees and if he believes his own hype, he will come undone.
"I will not forgive and forget because he betrayed me. I'm not emotional about it, but I have had to go through the submissions of his defence and his lies have enraged me. I am going to take him to task for what he has done."
Jordan added: "I don't have a relationship with Iain Dowie and I don’t intend to have one. I will see him in court."
Dowie said he was disappointed with Jordan's comments and is confident of winning the court case.
"I'm saddened that Simon Jordan has again spoken to the press about his grudge against me and in such a personal way," said Dowie on Charlton's website.
"I believe that the courts are the right place to decide the truth. My lawyers and I are confident that I will be vindicated when the case goes to court next summer.
"I will then decide whether I want to sue Simon personally for the defamatory comments he has made.
"In the meantime, I'm not going to let anything distract me from doing my job at Charlton and focusing all my attention on the team's performance."
