Emmerson Boyce
Wigan Athletic have made a £1 million bid for Palace's player of the season Emmerson Boyce.
Wigan have spent a club record £5.5 million for Emile Heskey in the past few days, after missing out on former Palace striker Andrew Johnson.
Paul Jewell's team are looking to increase their squad for next season with a bid for Emmerson Boyce.
The former Luton defender has impressed Eagles fans with his commited displays in the Palace back four in the past two seasons.
The 26-year-old was named Palace's player of the year last season, and with only 12 months left on his current contract, the offer has left Palace boss Peter Taylor with a dilemma.
"There has been a bid, but, as far as I am concerned, we have not yet given an answer," said Taylor.
"Emmerson is in the final year of his contract, so this is something we have to think about."
