Iain Dowie
Iain Dowie was left to rue missed chances as Palace took a point from Southampton.
Dowie's side consolidated their play-off position in a scrappy clash at St Mary's, but should have claimed all three points.
Andy Johnson squandered several chances to claim a crucial win and Dowie said: "On another day AJ will get three goals.
"He will be disappointed, but he gets in good positions and his goal return over the last year or two has been staggering.
"But there was only one team wanting the whistle to go.
"We didn't get what we deserved and anybody who watched the game will admit that.
"We dominated the second half and on another day we would have got a much better result.
"I'm not too downhearted because Southampton is a difficult place to come and they don't lose many at home."
