Neil McDonald
Neil McDonald claimed Palace got what they deserved after Ben Watson grabbed a late equaliser against Millwall.
Palace assistant-manager McDonald was happy with his side's display after Ben May had given Millwall a first half lead.
He said: “We created a fair few chances and dominated possession so I think we deserved it.
“They hit us with a few counter-attacks but we went right to the end. That’s the most pleasing thing.
“Millwall defended for their lives and really put their bodies on the line.”
McDonald remains convinced Palace can still win automatic promotion and dismissed stories linking striker Andy Johnson with a move to West Ham.
He said: “It’s still attainable. We have to believe that. The top two are winning games so it’s up to us to put a run together.
“It’s important we keep hold of players like Andy Johnson.
"He’s a fantastic player and there are bound to be stories linking him with other clubs. This will be the first of many because the transfer window is opening soon.”
